As technology constantly innovates and “students tend to be fluent in using handheld devices” we feel that it is important to incorporate technology into the classroom to enhance the education experience for students. This project focused on how educational games enhance students’ learning and improve standardized test scores. Four educational iTouch games were developed and released by a UMW research group and four more are being submitted for review. Current games available are “Ice Cream Addition”, “Numbers Under the Sea”, “Short Vowel Mahjong”, and “Where do I live?” Preliminary test results show higher test scores for those students using educational iTouch games in class. We will demonstrate the current apps and show those in review.
